The problem. India has approximately one psychiatrist per lakh of population and a treatment gap estimated at over 70% for common mental disorders. In Uttar Pradesh the shortfall is sharper: qualified clinical psychologists are concentrated in a handful of cities, private therapy typically costs ₹1,500–2,500 per session, and small and mid-sized employers have no affordable route to support their staff. The result is that most people who need structured psychological care never receive it, and those who do often cycle through ineffective treatment because underlying physiological contributors are never assessed. The concept. Tulacare Wellness Private Limited is a biology-informed mental wellness company that makes structured clinical care affordable and accessible. Rather than treating mental health as a purely psychological problem, Tulacare combines three layers: consultations delivered by RCI-registered clinical and counselling psychologists; metabolic and inflammatory screening using markers such as HbA1c, insulin resistance indicators and neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio, drawn from emerging metabolic psychiatry research; and technology-assisted triage, follow-up and adherence support through our platform. The biology layer helps identify patients whose symptoms have a physiological driver, which shortens time to effective treatment and reduces the cost of care over a treatment course. Delivery model. Tulacare operates a hub-and-spoke structure with its first hub in Greater Noida. The hub houses senior clinical capability and quality oversight; spokes extend reach through online consultation and lighter-footprint clinic locations, allowing the company to serve smaller towns without building a full specialist facility in each. Clinician capacity is built through a mix of salaried and revenue-share engagements, which keeps unit economics viable at lower price points. Revenue streams. Three lines. Direct-to-consumer consultations and assessment packages, sold through our website (www.tulacare.in), search and social channels, and a WhatsApp-first intake flow. A B2B employee assistance programme priced at ₹99 per employee per year, deliberately built for small and mid-sized organisations that are priced out of existing corporate wellness offerings designed for large enterprises. And a franchise-operated, company-owned expansion model with a ₹3 lakh franchise fee and a 15% revenue share, which allows geographic growth without proportionate capital deployment. Differentiation. The Indian market has several established digital therapy platforms. None currently combines metabolic and biomarker assessment with clinical psychology at an accessible price point, and none has built an EAP product specifically for the SME segment. Those two positions are our defensible ground. Current status. The company is incorporated in Uttar Pradesh. The consumer platform is live with booking, payments and clinician directory functionality. RCI-registered clinical psychologists have been engaged, structured screening and interview processes are in place for clinical hiring, and lead-generation channels including cloud telephony and WhatsApp Business are operational. Roadmap and impact. Over 24 months Tulacare plans to establish clinical operations across Greater Noida and Delhi NCR, build a team of approximately 50 clinicians and support staff, and extend the SME employee assistance programme across Uttar Pradesh. The intended outcome is formal, qualified employment for psychology graduates within the state and first-time access to structured mental health care for underserved working populations.
