Kisaanu: Business Concept Brief What Kisaanu is JayKisaanu Agritech Private Limited (brand: Kisaanu) is a vertically integrated, regenerative agritech company building a model farm ecosystem in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. It was incorporated in August 2025, is DPIIT recognised, and is incubated at Awadh Incubation Foundation. It works across five districts: Amethi, Sultanpur, Rae Bareli, Jaunpur and Pratapgarh. The core idea is that the scarcest thing in Indian agriculture is trust. Consumers cannot verify "organic" or "residue-free", exporters cannot prove provenance, and farmers have little reason to believe advisors who have never run a farm. You can only prove what you physically control, so Kisaanu operates every layer itself, from soil inputs to the consumer's doorstep, and makes each claim checkable. The mission line is "Make Farming More Trustworthy". The problem Agritech in India is split into single-layer players. IoT and SaaS firms such as Cropin and Fasal sell software for farms they do not run. Aggregators such as DeHaat and Ninjacart are strong on distribution but asset-light and driven by GMV. Traceability startups trace other people's data. Rent-a-tree brands sell a seasonal transaction with no way to verify it. A farmer ends up trusting six vendors, a consumer trusts a label, and nobody owns the full chain of proof. The model: own the stack, not the land Kisaanu never buys agricultural land. It takes 10 to 30 year leases and partnership arrangements, so farmers keep ownership and earn assured, indexed rent. On that land it runs six layers. Regenerative, chemical-free farming. It uses natural inputs made in-house (Jeevamrut, Panchgavya, Agniastra, Dashparni Ark, Beejamrut, compost). Current land is about 3.4 hectares across three leased farms: a 20-year registered organic flagship at Naugawan, a 30-year mango orchard at Sitarampur, and a short-lease conventional cash-crop plot at Maharajpur. There are also 437 mango trees across four partner orchards. Kisaanu Nexus. This is an offline-first edge AI and IoT layer: LoRaWAN sensor nodes, irrigation automation, drone and camera vision, and a Jetson-based field brain built for rural connectivity and UP summers. It is also sold as consulting and deployment for fish, dairy, poultry and orchard operations. RenuOS. The agri-ERP is the system of record for labour, inventory, soil records, batches and orders. Kisaanu Notary. This blockchain layer hashes farm records and anchors them daily on Polygon, so anyone can verify a tree, a batch or an input log by scanning a QR code. Gas cost is under ₹100 a year. A processing campus. It sits on a company-owned 0.25 hectare commercial plot. The Dry Wing (drying, dal, atta, spices, pouch packing) comes first. The Wet Wing follows, anchored on mango in summer and amla in winter. Chemical-free and conventional streams are kept strictly separate by batch. Consumer brands. Rent-a-Tree (seasonal mango tree rental) and TreeOwn (long-term tree ownership with up to 60% of fruiting shared with the owner) are live. Packaged lines come next: Kisaanu Organic, Kisaanu Daily and Kisaanu Baag, sold through quick commerce, the company's own D2C store and local wholesale. The layers feed each other in a loop: sensors capture data, RenuOS records it, Notary anchors it, and the consumer verifies it. How it makes money The revenue design is deliberately multi-engine, so no single line has to carry the company. Near-term cash engines. Bio-inputs had 55 paying customers with reorders at the Q2 2026 snapshot. Farm produce uses staggered sowing and orchard intercropping, so each lease is cash-positive from year one. The directional figure is ₹1.5 to 2.5 lakh net per acre per year. Rent-a-Tree's first season was reported fully booked. Nexus consulting had seven leads ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹20 lakh. Medium-term engines. The processing campus is modelled at about ₹2 crore revenue in year two, rising to about ₹3.7 crore by year five, with break-even in year two. Nexus, RenuOS and Notary are to be licensed as SaaS, including "Notary-as-a-Service" for FPOs and exporters. A dairy vertical is built around ghee and the gobar economy that feeds the organic farms. Cold-pressed oil is at pilot stage. Longer-term engines. Carbon credits would use Notary as the measurement and verification spine. An export route depends on BARC food irradiation for mango and spices. Technology transfer and licensing would run through Finland and EU partnerships. The public FY2026-27 revenue target is a modest ₹30 lakh, split across managed farmland, inputs and software. That is consistent with a company that is proving the platform before scaling it. Subsidy stacking is treated as a core skill. The schemes in play are PMKSY drip at up to 90% in UP, MIDH and NHB at around 50% for orchards and polyhouses, the UP Food Processing Policy at 35?pital subsidy, AIF interest subvention, and Mini Nandini for dairy. The lease structure includes a limited power of attorney, so farmer-routed capital subsidies legally flow to the company. Market and moat The publicly stated sizing is a TAM of about $4.4 billion across agritech, organic food, bio-inputs and urban gardening, a SAM of about $480 million, and a two-year SOM of about $8 million. The moat is integration plus proof: Competitors each hold one layer, while Kisaanu holds all of them on farms it operates. Two science pillars back the farming: biological inputs through the Samabio and Finland track, and radiation and breeding science through BARC. An asset-light player cannot verify what it does not operate. That verification is what opens up premium D2C pricing, export grade and carbon value. Team Anurag Shukla, Founder and CEO.
