Rethinkables Technology Private Limited is a GovTech company registered in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, mentored under the iCREATE Idea Catalyst program. Our first product, EduAttend.AI, addresses a structural gap in government school administration: attendance is reported to state systems, but no mechanism exists to verify whether reported figures correspond to children actually present. This matters financially. Mid-day meals are sanctioned at ~ ₹8.17 per child per meal under the CCEA-approved rate, and CAG audits have repeatedly flagged discrepancies between meals claimed and meals verifiably served. Without verified attendance, these claims cannot be reconciled. EduAttend.AI records verified student attendance twice to n times(each period) daily on an ordinary smartphone, in approximately three minutes per class. It functions entirely without internet and synchronizes automatically when a network becomes available. Records are immutable once written. Each night, mid-day meal claims are reconciled against verified attendance and discrepancies are reported to block and district officials with supporting evidence. The system additionally identifies the variance between morning and afternoon attendance, and flags children whose absence pattern indicates dropout risk. The system is designed as a support for teachers rather than a monitoring instrument, and carries no punitive mechanism. Student data is enrolled only with written parental consent, in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and facial matching occurs on-device , no images leave the phone. Our commercial model is ₹99 per active teacher per month, sold to district and state education administration.
