Campus Haat is a technology-enabled home-food delivery platform focused on making fresh, affordable and home-style food easily accessible to people living, studying and working away from their homes. The platform connects customers with local home cooks, home-based food entrepreneurs and small food producers, enabling them to offer their food to a wider customer base without the need to establish a conventional restaurant. The core problem we address is the gap between the growing demand for convenient everyday meals and the limited availability of reliable, affordable and home-style food. Customers often have to depend on messes, tiffin services, restaurants, local food outlets or self-cooking, each of which may not adequately meet their preferences for taste, variety, affordability and convenience. At the same time, many skilled home cooks are capable of preparing excellent food but lack the technology, customer reach, operational support and delivery infrastructure required to serve customers consistently. Campus Haat brings these two sides together through an integrated technology and operations platform. Customers can discover food, place real-time orders, receive estimated delivery times, track orders and access customer support through the platform. On the supply side, we are developing standardized processes for menu management, portioning, packaging, preparation times, kitchen capacity and order handling. A key aspect of our model is capacity-aware order management. The platform can use current kitchen workload, historical preparation performance and delivery capacity to determine whether additional orders can be accepted and provide realistic delivery estimates or temporarily restrict orders when capacity is constrained. This helps prevent excessive demand from overwhelming kitchens and delivery operations. Our objective is to build a reliable and replicable local home-food delivery system that preserves the diversity and personal character of home-cooked food while bringing consistency, technology and professional service to a traditionally fragmented supply base. The model can subsequently be replicated across other campuses, residential communities and urban locations by adapting the local kitchen and delivery network to customer demand and regional food preferences.
