Problem Statement: India tragically loses over 1.5 Lakh lives annually in road accidents, primarily due to unmarked speed breakers, potholes, and driver fatigue at night. Currently, Active Safety Technology (ADAS) is restricted to luxury vehicles costing over ₹25 Lakhs. Meanwhile, 94% of regular Indian cars rely on cheap aftermarket dashcams that act as mere passive CCTV recorders—they only record the crash after it happens, but do nothing to prevent it. The Solution (LUMSYNC by Codicore): Codicore Private Limited has engineered LUMSYNC—India's first Offline Edge-AI Smart Rear-View Mirror Pod. It retrofits onto any standard car's factory mirror in just 10 seconds. Using a front-facing Sony STARVIS 2 lens and a custom offline AI model, it proactively detects unmarked speed breakers and stray animals, giving drivers a crucial 2-second audio-visual warning before a collision. Simultaneously, a built-in 180-degree Cabin IR camera monitors the driver's Eye Aspect Ratio (EAR), triggering a loud 90dB alarm if micro-sleep or drowsiness is detected. Technical & Hardware Moat: Unlike competitors, LUMSYNC operates with 0% internet dependency. All AI inference happens strictly on-device via a dedicated NPU. To combat the extreme 70°C heat of Indian windshields, we completely eliminated lithium-ion batteries, using Automotive-Grade Dual Supercapacitors instead. Furthermore, we replaced fragile SD cards with soldered 32GB eMMC memory, paired with a 'Smart Incident Buffer' that locks a 1-minute HD video (30s pre and post-event) during sudden braking, offloadable in 30 seconds via a Type-C port. Market Opportunity & Business Model: Our Total Addressable Market (TAM) is India's 4.2 Crore passenger cars. However, our immediate Serviceable Market includes the 55 Lakh used cars sold annually and 25 Lakh commercial fleet cabs (Uber/Ola) where driver safety is paramount. We operate on a highly scalable unit economic model with a 100% markup, maintaining a flat 50% gross margin per unit. Recently validating our execution by winning 1st Prize at a prominent pitch competition and securing tech-grants from Microsoft & Zoho, Codicore is now seeking prototyping and pilot-deployment grants to transition from R&D to mass-market execution."
