Rapidontics Labs Private Limited is a women-led health-tech company in Lucknow, building Uttar Pradesh's first fully digital dental laboratory with an AI-assisted design quality check. Dental clinics across the state send crowns, bridges, dentures, aligners and surgical guides to laboratories for fabrication. In Uttar Pradesh this work goes either to small analog laboratories, which are quick but inconsistent in fit and cause remakes, or to large digital laboratories in the metros, which are precise but take seven to fifteen days to serve a Lucknow clinic. Clinics that invest in intraoral scanners have no nearby laboratory able to receive a digital scan, so the equipment goes unused. Our workflow takes an intraoral or model scan from the clinic, designs the restoration on exocad under a dentist's supervision, and checks every design automatically through our AI quality-control module before manufacturing. The module flags open or thin margins, missing contacts, insufficient occlusal clearance and below-minimum material thickness, which are the defects that cause most remakes. Approved designs are milled on a five-axis machine and printed on dental resin printers in-house, then sintered, finished and quality-checked. Every unit carries a QR traceability record linking the scan, the designer, the machine, the material lot and a quality-control photograph, built to match CDSCO and ISO 13485 expectations for custom-made devices. Finished work reaches clinics across Uttar Pradesh within twenty-four to forty-eight hours. The company already runs two live software products: dentalsync.in, an AI career platform for BDS graduates, and a clinic-laboratory ordering platform with thirty screens and a complete API, covering scan upload, live pricing, case tracking and GST invoicing. Area Dental Clinic, Lucknow, is our pilot site. A zirconia crown unit is priced at one thousand rupees to the dentist, which puts metro-grade digital precision within reach of Tier-2 and Tier-3 practices. The project creates skilled employment for dental graduates as digital dental designers, with a target of at least fifty per cent women in technical roles.
