Sid Prime Energy Private Limited is developing an environment-focused clean energy business that converts agricultural residues such as paddy straw, wheat straw and other biomass waste into value-added bio-coal/briquettes. The objective is to provide a sustainable alternative to conventional fossil coal while addressing the problem of agricultural residue burning and associated air pollution. The proposed business will establish a modern biomass processing facility where locally available agricultural residues are collected, processed and densified into high-quality bio-coal suitable for use in industrial boilers, furnaces and other thermal applications. This approach converts an otherwise underutilized waste resource into a commercially valuable fuel and creates an additional income opportunity for farmers and local biomass suppliers. The innovation lies in connecting agricultural waste management with industrial clean-fuel demand through a circular and resource-efficient model. By replacing a portion of conventional coal consumption with biomass-based fuel, the project aims to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, minimize open-field burning of crop residues and contribute to reduction of greenhouse-gas emissions and local air pollution. Sid Prime Energy intends to develop a scalable model that can be replicated across biomass-rich regions of Uttar Pradesh and other parts of India. The project will also generate employment in biomass collection, processing, transportation and plant operations, while promoting the productive utilization of agricultural waste. Through this integrated approach, the company aims to create economic value from agricultural residue while delivering measurable environmental benefits and supporting India’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions.
