Wouch is a psychology-first relational readiness platform that helps people build the self-understanding required for a healthy relationship before they select a partner. It responds to a documented public-health crisis: loneliness and relational disconnection among 18–30-year-olds have reached levels the WHO now treats as a global health priority, and the dominant technology in this space - image-first dating apps - measurably worsens the problem by training users to select on appearance and by monetising time-on-app rather than outcomes. Wouch's clinical thesis is that most relationship failures originate not in incompatibility of values but in unrecognised psychological patterns laid down in early life. The platform addresses this directly. Users complete a structured, clinically-grounded readiness assessment built on validated instruments (PHQ-4, UCLA-3 loneliness scale, ECR-R attachment items). A Bayesian engine analyses responses and generates personalised, clinician-authored insights and educational modules. Users build readiness before matching is unlocked, and photos are intentionally restricted until psychological compatibility is established. A trauma-informed safety architecture — the subject of a filed provisional patent and three research papers — modulates connection based on behavioural readiness signals rather than engagement. The platform rolls out in four sequenced revenue layers: (1) Readiness & Matching - B2C freemium subscriptions to the core assessment and matching experience; (2) Therapist Marketplace - commission on optional clinical support for users who want it; (3) Corporate Wellness - B2B licensing of the readiness and loneliness-screening layer to HR and employee-wellbeing programmes; and (4) Research Collaboration - partnerships with academic and clinical institutions using anonymised, consented data. Layer 1 funds the platform; layers 2–4 compound margin without additional user-acquisition cost. The immediate focus is high-intent Gen Z users in India's Tier 1 cities, within a global online dating market estimated at approximately $7.8 billion to $13.1 billion in 2026, depending on the specific research methodology and scope, and is projected to reach up to $17.3 billion to $23.3 billion by the early 2030s and growing steadily. Current stage: MVP substantially complete, provisional patent filed, DPIIT-recognised (DIPP231276), 100 organic waitlist signups, 94% intent-to-switch across 52 user interviews, and early B2B conversations in progress. The founding insight - that every relationship a person chooses shapes who their children become - is not a tagline; it is the civilisational problem the product is built to interrupt.
