In India there is massive gap in furniture industry, where there is lack of lightweight green furniture for moving population or for specific use for schools, hospitals and workplaces, where disposable, modular furnitures are required. Paper is green resource, which can be recycled, moulded and used in desired forms to create furnitures for specific use base. With advent of technology and expansion of industrial base and ever moving population from rural to urban areas, there is huge need of such furnitures, which can utilized, if need disposed or dissembled and repack and utilized elsewhere as per needs. Such furniture will be at lower cost than regular wood, plastic and metal furniture, will require lesser maintenance, can be discarded without any impact on environment. There is massive amount of investment done in schools, government sector, households and other commercial premises, where a percentage of furniture can be of paper and can be deployed in case of emergency. For example a school can have a set percentage of cardboard furniture in case of a conference, where they can be dissembled and assembled as needed, or set number of desk and benches in case of increase in strength. A hospital can have such furniture in infectitious wards or beds ready in case of emergency. A household can have certain furnitures made of cardboard for their children, or for occassions etc. We are looking to replace certain percentage of wood steel and plastic furnitures by paper made furnitures, with lifespan of a decade. It will reduce a lot of economic resource waste and will also lead to a sustainable way of living.
