Existing desktop-based ERP solutions are expensive, complex, and require trained staff to operate — leading to added costs, inefficiency, and underutilization. SmartMed addresses these challenges by offering a simple, mobile-based application that can be used directly by pharmacy owners or their staff without any technical training. The app enables instant billing via barcode scanning or smart search, and uniquely allows automatic inventory updates from uploaded purchase bill images or PDFs — saving 1–2 hours of manual work per day. It also provides features like stock-out alerts, expiry tracking, and sales insights, improving overall pharmacy efficiency and customer satisfaction. Additionally, SmartMed is designed to be ERP-compatible, with the ability to sync data into existing systems like Marg, allowing pharmacies to retain their existing tools while benefiting from SmartMed’s front-end simplicity. The product is built to scale through direct sales, distributor partnerships, and word-of-mouth in underserved markets.
