Farmpax Bioenergy LLP is a renewable energy startup focused on producing Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) and organic fertilizers from agricultural and agro-industrial waste. Our plant, located in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, is being developed under the SATAT scheme and aims to contribute to India’s clean energy goals while addressing critical rural and environmental challenges. We are implementing an advanced dry fermentation plug-flow digester technology, imported from Finland, positioning our project among the pioneers in India adopting this model. Unlike conventional wet-type CSTR digesters, our technology enables efficient anaerobic digestion of fibrous biomass such as press mud, parali (paddy straw), cow dung, and Napier grass without requiring extensive pre-treatment or dilution. Operating under thermophilic conditions (~52°C), it ensures high gas yield and reliable operation even during cold winter months, when many conventional plants suffer reduced efficiency. Our total feedstock capacity is approximately 140 TPD, and we are targeting a daily CBG output of around 5 TPD. We have signed a Tripartite Agreement (TPA) with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) and GAIL for gas offtake under the SATAT initiative. The purified gas will be injected into HPCL’s pipeline or transported via cascades as required. In addition to clean fuel, we also generate 100% natural organic fertilizers in both solid and liquid forms, which will be marketed to farmers and agri-input distributors. These biofertilizers help improve soil health and reduce chemical fertilizer dependency.
