Nanovistar Pvt. Ltd. is a deep-tech startup pioneering “Made in India” IoT-enabled multi-gas sensing solutions to protect industrial workers and reduce losses in food storage. Founded in collaboration with IIT Bombay, the company focuses on developing cost-effective, indigenous sensors for hazardous gases such as hydrogen sulfide (H?S), ammonia (NH?), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO?), and methane (CH?). Industrial environments in India—including sewage systems, mining operations, chemical plants, and waste-treatment facilities—face daily risks from toxic gases. Conventional safety sensors are expensive imports, designed for foreign conditions, and out of reach for small and medium industries. Nanovistar bridges this gap by delivering rugged, portable, and affordable sensors that are optimized for Indian field conditions and priced up to 80–90% lower than international alternatives. The company’s product ecosystem includes: Wearable band sensors for frontline sanitation and mining workers. Portable handheld detectors with real-time IoT connectivity for supervisors. Extendable multi-gas units for industrial facilities and storage sites. These devices integrate with mobile apps, cloud dashboards, and alert systems, enabling real-time monitoring, data logging, and predictive safety interventions. Nanovistar has achieved critical milestones: winning the INUP-i2i Hackathon at IIT Bombay, securing MSME Hackathon 4.0 seed funding (?10 lakh), signing MoUs with leading academic incubators, and being granted a patent in July 2025 for its proprietary nanomaterial-based sensor technology.
