In most hospitals, patient transfer is carried out manually by nurses or attendants, which not only causes physical strain on staff but also risks injury and discomfort for patients. Convinier 01 replaces this conventional process with a motorized conveyor-based mechanism that allows effortless, hygienic, and secure transfer of patients between beds, stretchers, and diagnostic tables. This reduces workforce fatigue, improves patient safety, and enhances overall operational efficiency in healthcare facilities. Beyond product innovation, Mediotech is building its business model on affordability and scalability. Many hospitals, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, face financial constraints in acquiring advanced medical devices. To overcome this barrier, Mediotech provides a rental model for medical equipment alongside outright sales. This ensures that healthcare institutions of all sizes can access cutting-edge technology without heavy upfront investment. The rental system also creates a recurring revenue stream for the company while broadening our market reach. Our innovation model is rooted in frugal engineering, continuous improvement, and customer feedback. We design solutions that are cost-effective, easy to operate, and scalable. By focusing on indigenization, Mediotech reduces dependency on costly imports and aligns with the Government of India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Looking ahead, Mediotech plans to expand its product line into other affordable medical devices and smart hospital solutions, addressing unmet needs in patient care, diagnostics, and hospital management. Through strategic partnerships, we aim to scale manufacturing, enhance distribution networks, and integrate advanced features such as IoT and automation into future devices. Our innovation model is a needs-driven, affordability-focused MedTech innovation approach built specifically for the Indian healthcare ecosystem. We follow a problem-to-prototype cycle where real unmet clinical needs—such as unsafe manual patient transfer—are identified directly from hospitals, and solutions are designed to match their operational, financial, and infrastructural realities. Convinier 01 reflects this model by combining proven mechanical principles (conveyor-based motion) with low-cost engineering, smart electronics, and a retrofit-ready architecture to ensure rapid adoption. Our approach integrates iterative prototyping, clinical feedback loops, and manufacturability considerations from the very beginning. Instead of building expensive, complex equipment like global OEMs, we focus on frugal engineering, user-centered design, and scalable local manufacturing. This allows us to deliver a high-impact medical device at 20–25% of international prices while maintaining reliability and safety.
