Acuity Neocare Pvt. Ltd. is a med-tech startup based in Lucknow, focused on developing affordable, AI-enabled neonatal care devices for India’s public and low-resource healthcare settings. Founded by Dr. Geetanjali Srivastava, a neonatologist, the company integrates clinical expertise with innovative engineering to build smart monitoring tools for NICUs. Our mission is to empower nurses and healthcare workers with intelligent, reliable, and cost-effective solutions, improving neonatal outcomes across underserved regions. India faces over 27 million births annually, with thousands of NICUs overburdened by shortage of trained staff, lack of real-time decision support, and unaffordable imported monitoring devices. Most low-cost monitors offer basic alarms but lack clinical intelligence. This leads to delayed escalation, increased mortality, and alarm fatigue among nurses with a poor response time. We are building a low-cost NICU multipara monitor (under ?20,000/unit) equipped with: AI-based trend analysis Intelligent chatbot for nursing support Local language interface Battery backup for power outages Bluetooth connectivity with mobile dashboard The device detects abnormal vitals early using trends (not just thresholds) and helps nurses triage and escalate cases promptly—even in remote or semi-urban NICUs. Unlike existing devices that only trigger threshold alarms, our monitor provides: AI-driven trend alerts to reduce false alarms and nurse fatigue An embedded chatbot trained on neonatal scenarios to support decision-making Modular, locally manufactured hardware compatible with standard NICU workflows Multilingual support (Hindi/English) to aid Tier 2 and rural hospital staff This is the only monitor designed for Indian NICU nurses, not just doctors, at 1/10th the cost of global competitors.
