riveni Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. is a renewable energy startup focused on developing an integrated waste-to-energy and sustainable agriculture model. The company’s vision is to transform agricultural and organic waste into Compressed Biogas (CBG) and organic fertilizers, creating a circular rural economy that delivers economic, environmental, and social impact.
At the core of our business is a 3-ton/day Bio-CNG production plant in Prayagraj, designed with advanced anaerobic digestion technology and Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption (VPSA) purification, ensuring 97.5% methane recovery and gas purity above 96%. This makes our process more efficient than conventional PSA or water scrubbing systems, positioning us as a technology-driven energy provider.
To ensure sustainability, we have established feedstock supply agreements with local farmers and Panchayats, securing 75 tons/day of agricultural and organic waste. On the demand side, we have signed a 15-year Letter of Intent with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) to procure 100% of our Bio-CNG output at ?60–65/kg (excluding GST). This dual alignment guarantees both raw material security and assured revenue.
A unique strength of our model is its dual-output business design. Alongside Bio-CNG production, our plant generates approximately 15 tons/day of high-quality organic fertilizer, which is sold to local farmers, cooperatives, and fertilizer companies. This not only provides a stable secondary revenue stream but also addresses the problem of soil degradation caused by excessive chemical fertilizer usage, thereby promoting sustainable agriculture.
The business operates on a circular economy principle: farmers provide organic waste, which is processed into clean fuel and organic fertilizer; the fuel supports India’s energy transition, while the fertilizer is supplied back to farmers, improving soil health and crop productivity. In return, farmers benefit financially through steady income from feedstock procurement, as well as agronomic gains from bio-fertilizer use.
