NetZero (NRG Infra NetZero Pvt. Ltd.) is a clean-tech startup building a circular battery economy by repurposing used EV lithium-ion batteries into affordable energy storage systems. As India’s EV sector grows, millions of batteries are retired prematurely despite retaining up to 80% usable capacity. At the same time, high energy storage costs limit solar adoption for MSMEs, rural communities and public institutions. NetZero solves both problems by rejuvenating second-life batteries, integrating them with solar PV systems and delivering clean, reliable power at a fraction of the cost of new batteries. Our hybrid systems help customers manage peak load, reduce electricity bills and ensure uptime during outages. We offer these solutions under Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) and PPA/lease models, removing Capex barriers. Our services include battery diagnostics, repackaging, solar + storage installation and energy supply. In the near future, we plan to power solar-backed EV charging hubs, creating a fully circular energy-mobility loop. Our business operates at the intersection of renewable energy, energy storage and sustainable mobility and is aligned with India’s Net Zero goals, Battery Waste Management Rules and MSME energy needs.
