Railway safety is one of the most critical challenges in India, and with track failures and cracks being major causes of derailments, service disruptions, and costly repairs. Today, detection largely depends on manual inspections or expensive imported inspection vehicles, both of which are slow, inconsistent, and not scalable across India’s 68,000+ km railway network. Our startup addresses this gap through an IoT and AI-powered crack detection system. The solution integrates ultrasonic/laser sensors, GSM/IoT modules, and cloud-based analytics to detect cracks in real time and send instant alerts to control centers. Beyond detection, our platform provides predictive maintenance insights, helping railways prevent failures before they occur. The system is modular and frugal, designed to be mounted on small trolleys, locomotives, or inspection units, making it more affordable and scalable than conventional methods. Our business model is hybrid, combining hardware sales with Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), SaaS subscriptions for predictive analytics, and inspection-as-a-service offerings. This ensures both upfront adoption and sustainable recurring revenue. By delivering a cost-effective, scalable, and data-driven approach, our solution directly supports Indian Railways’ modernization goals while making railway travel safer and more reliable for millions of passengers.
