ndusBaba is an integrated manufacturing, skill development, and export enablement platform designed to accelerate industrial growth in Uttar Pradesh by connecting foreign factory investors with Indian startups, MSMEs, and skilled youth. The core objective of IndusBaba is to operationalise government initiatives such as Make in India, Skill India, Startup India, and export promotion at the execution level. The IndusBaba model combines a digital matchmaking platform with physical shared manufacturing infrastructure. It facilitates the setup of shared “mega factory floors” where multiple complementary manufacturing units—such as electronics assembly and packaging, or garments and accessories—operate under a common infrastructure. This significantly reduces capital costs, accelerates factory readiness, and lowers entry barriers for both foreign investors and domestic entrepreneurs. A key pillar of the model is hands-on skill development. IndusBaba runs free, factory-based internship programs that provide youth with practical shop-floor skills aligned with industry needs, thereby improving employability and reducing skill gaps. Additionally, IndusBaba supports MSMEs through low-cost marketing, logistics, and export facilitation, enabling them to access domestic and international markets without the high commissions charged by traditional platforms. By leveraging limited government grant support as catalytic funding, IndusBaba aims to unlock significant private investment, generate large-scale employment, promote exports, and establish sustainable manufacturing clusters, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a competitive manufacturing and export hub.
