Anemia, a disorder characterized by a lower-than-normal red blood cell count and insufficient haemoglobin levels, affects approximately 25 of the population or 1.6 billion people worldwide. It is a major global cause of maternal, perinatal, and child mortality. Additionally, it causes low birth weight, impaired or delayed child physical and mental development, and an increased susceptibility to infections,2 and contributes greatly to economic loss due to reduced productivity of workers. The measurement of haemoglobin in blood indicates anemia has traditionally relied on the services of a well-equipped clinical laboratory. A blood sample between 3 and 10 milliliters in volume, is usually obtained by inserting a needle into a vein in the arm. The results usually come back within 12hrs to 24hrs of the test. To increase access to health technology for remote areas, some simple techniques are demanded. In rural areas where anemia is common and where prevention and treatment may be most beneficial, a really simple and accurate method is needed to screen for anemia as easy and economically as possible. We propose to develop an app either mildly invasive or non- invasive depending on our results of our research to be able to assess the value of haemoglobin of the user
