Shekhar Design and Construction is an innovative structural design venture dedicated to optimizing Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) components in building construction. Our core mission is to deliver cost-efficient and environmentally sustainable structural solutions by addressing the pervasive issue of material inefficiency in the construction industry. We operate under the guiding principle of "RCC Optimization for Cost-Efficient Buildings." Currently, a significant challenge in residential and government building projects is the conservative design of RCC members, which often leads to uniform sizing and reinforcement throughout structural spans. This conventional approach results in a substantial 10-25% overuse of steel and concrete, directly contributing to higher project costs, increased carbon footprints, and frequent budget overruns. Given that steel and concrete account for 18-22% and 20-25% of total building costs respectively, even marginal optimizations at the structural level can yield profound financial and environmental benefits. Our solution is rooted in a proprietary methodology for analytical customization of RCC members. We meticulously analyze actual bending moment and shear force diagrams to implement load-specific reinforcement distribution and optimized sectional depth control. This allows us to move beyond uniform rectangular sections, introducing material-efficient sectional variations and controlled reinforcement zoning. Crucially, all our design optimizations are fully compliant with IS 456:2007, guaranteeing structural safety and integrity. This innovative approach consistently achieves a 15-25% reduction in steel consumption and an 8-15% reduction in concrete usage.
