Comfy Closet is a social commerce startup focused on providing affordable, trendy, and handmade accessories, gifting items, and lifestyle products while creating sustainable employment opportunities for women from Self Help Groups (SHGs). The startup was founded with the vision of promoting handmade craftsmanship, supporting local artisans, and encouraging women empowerment through financial independence. We closely work with SHG women artisans by helping them showcase their skills and generate a stable source of income. Through this initiative, Comfy Closet is contributing towards social impact and economic growth for many families. Our efforts and impact were recognized when we received the Mission Shakti Award from the Meerut IAS, which motivated us to continue working for women empowerment and community development. Over the past year, Comfy Closet has successfully delivered more than 10,000 orders, demonstrating strong customer trust and market potential. The business operates mainly through digital platforms and direct customer engagement, helping us build a growing customer base. In the future, we plan to expand our operations by introducing a technology-enabled smart cart system for offline selling. This initiative will help us increase revenue generation, improve customer accessibility, and create more employment opportunities for SHG women connected with our startup. Comfy Closet aims to become a sustainable business model that combines innovation, social impact, and women empowerment.
