PanelOut Solar LLP is introducing India’s first indigenously designed plug-and-play balcony solar system specifically developed for flats, apartments, and high-rise residences. While India has made significant progress in solar adoption through rooftop installations and government initiatives such as PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, a large section of the urban population remains excluded from the benefits of solar energy due to the lack of access to rooftop space. Nearly 70% of urban Indians live in apartments, creating a massive untapped market for decentralized solar solutions. Inspired by the success of balcony solar systems in countries such as Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, China, and the USA, PanelOut has developed a lightweight, safe, and aesthetically designed solar solution tailored for Indian conditions. The system utilizes ETFE-coated solar panels, specially engineered balcony mounting structures, and smart microinverters to generate electricity directly from apartment balconies and reduce household electricity bills. The company has already developed and tested its MVP in 500W and 1000W variants, completed field trials, and established its digital infrastructure, including a website, CRM platform, and customer web application. Starting with Delhi-NCR, PanelOut plans to expand across major Indian cities through digital marketing, RWAs, demonstration camps, strategic partnerships, and a hybrid franchise model. Beyond product sales, the company aims to build a comprehensive urban energy ecosystem encompassing smart monitoring, energy storage, EV charging integration, and community solar solutions, making clean energy accessible to millions of apartment dwellers across India.
