DermaShudhi LLP is a pioneering health-tech startup driven by the mission to democratize dermatological care across India, bridging the vast healthcare gap between urban centers and underserved rural communities. The core problem we address is the severe scarcity of specialized skin care professionals in remote areas, compounded by the fact that existing global AI diagnostic tools are predominantly trained on Caucasian datasets. This leads to frequent misdiagnoses and a lack of reliable care for diverse Indian skin tones. To solve this, our business concept centers on creating an accessible, highly accurate, and scalable technological solution. We are developing proprietary, AI-based diagnostic software utilizing advanced deep learning architectures, specifically Swin Transformers and MobileNetV2. Our unique technological advantage—for which we have successfully filed a patent—is that these models are meticulously optimized for Indian demographics, ensuring precise, localized dermatological screening. Currently at the prototype stage, we are incubated at the IPEC Technology Business Incubator (TBI) and have secured ₹7,00,000 in GENESIS funding to accelerate our R&D. Our roadmap includes deploying a dedicated mobile application designed for ease of use in rural settings. By equipping frontline health workers and individuals with a smartphone-based diagnostic tool, DermaShudhi aims to provide immediate, reliable skin health assessments and significantly reduce treatment delays.
