ScrapMonkey is building India's first technology-led circular economy platform, connecting households, local kabadiwalas, certified recyclers, and industrial waste generators on a single platform. Households book a scrap pickup through our app; the request is routed to the nearest onboarded kabadiwala, who completes the pickup directly — ScrapMonkey does not operate its own collection fleet, keeping the model asset-light and scalable. In return, households earn Green Coins (₹1 of scrap = 1.5 coins), which are redeemable on our in-app marketplace for eco-friendly products and recycled goods at 40-60?low retail, creating a loyalty loop that encourages repeat recycling behaviour, households can also opt for cash if they dont want green coins. On the supply side, we also work directly with industrial and commercial clients for bulk waste collection, which currently generates steady revenue and funds the platform while our household and marketplace verticals scale. Certified recyclers are onboarded onto the platform to source segregated material and list recycled products, completing the loop from waste generation to reuse. In effect, ScrapMonkey digitizes and formalizes India's existing informal recycling network rather than competing with it — turning scrap collection into a tracked, incentivized, and scalable circular economy system.
